Donald Royce Richardson, age 79, was born December 16, 1937. He was the son of the late Oran and Mabel (Jones) Richardson. He departed this life on Sunday evening June 11, in his home with his wife Hilda (Correll) Richardson at his side.

Don spent the most of his career life working in the hardwood timber and lumber industry. He had an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit and was also involved in numerous other business ventures. For Don, these were his adventures.

Don farmed and raised cattle, operated a hunting and fishing camp in Saskatchewan, Canada. He also operated service stations, retail stores and was involved in country music entertainment, real estate and land development and community service.

Don was a pilot for many years and was an avid outdoorsman. He was very accomplished at most every skill he acquired. Don was especially known for his hunting and fishing skills and experiences over North America.
Don also loved growing fruits and vegetables, always respecting the wonders of God's creation.

From Northern Canada to Florida, from the east coast to the west as far as Nevada, Don leaves behind many friends from his lifetime of sport and business. He also leave behind a large extended family spanning three more generations.

There will be no public visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, you are asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, which may be dropped off at the Hicks- Vaughn Funeral Home.
