Donald McClane was born November 27, 1944 and departed this life Friday, June 21, 2013 reaching the age of 68. He was the son of the late Herbert and Bertha lee (Hicks) McClane.

He is survived by: his wife, Dottie (Southwood) McClane; 3 sons, Ray Alan, Donald Ray, and Darren McClane;2 daughters, Sylvia Dobbs and Stacey McClane; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 brother, J.P. (Ena) McClane; and 1 sister, Tresia Warner; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Herbert and Bertha McClane, he was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Freeda JoAnna Davis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 3 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Floyd officiating. Burial will be Elk Spring Cemetery.

McClane Motorsports will be closed until Thursday, June 27, 2013.
