IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald Barton
Huffaker
May 15, 1945 – January 14, 2021
Donald Barton Huffaker was born May 15, 1945 and departed this life January 14, 2021, reaching the age of 75 years. He was the son of the late Ernest Huffaker and Lexie Ragan Huffaker.
He is survived by his three sons, Michael (Lorna) Huffaker, Matthew Huffaker, and Mark (Molly) Huffaker; four grandchildren, Malachi Huffaker, Ethan Huffaker, Luke Huffaker, and Korlyn Huffaker; and one brother, Robert (Connie) Huffaker.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Moore.
Don was a man of many careers. He has been a policeman, Mountain View Baptist Camp superintendent, paramedic, long-time Co-owner of Wayne Furniture Company, and farmer. His most important career was being a follower of Christ after being saved at an early age at Immanuel Baptist Church. His convictions led him to serve his community as a pastor of the South Main Baptist Church, Sunday School Teacher at Immanuel Baptist Church and Steubenville Baptist Church, servant at the Monticello House of Blessings, and volunteer for the Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief. We remember him most as Dad, who was an ever-present great influence on our lives.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2021 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Mountainview Baptist Camp, Steubenville Baptist Church Building Fund, KY Baptist Disaster Relief, or House of Blessings
