Donald Sevoyah Duncan age 71, passed on to Glory on Friday, October 28, 2016 at his home.
He was born June 24, 1945 in Monticello, KY, the son of the late Raymond "Ramey" and Adell Duncan. He married Rebecca Pennie on July 22, 2000 in Versailles, KY.
Donald is survived by his wife of sixteen years Rebecca Duncan, loving son, Donovan (Angela) Duncan of Monticello, a special daughter, Shayne Pennie (Austin Madry) of Lexington, four grandchildren, Trent A. Sullivan of Edmonton, Isaac Duncan of Monticello, Austin C. R. Madry and Julia E Madry of Lexington, three brothers, Willie (Phyllis) Duncan, Larry Duncan, and Cornelius (Maggie Anna) Duncan all of Monticello, one sister-in-law Pamela S. Luttrell of Versailles.
He is also survived by a host of family and friends who will mourn his passing. He will be greatly missed. He was a very gentle and kind man, was quiet and shy sometimes, who knew and was known by almost everyone on Wayne County. He was a loving husband, father, Paw-paw, Poppy and brother.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Henry A. Duncan and Dorsey F. Duncan, and one sister, Rochelle Duncan Fulcher, and first wife, Katy L. Garth Duncan.
As a young teenager, he accepted Christ and raised his son in a Christian home. He was always about his Father's business, witnessing to whomever would listen; a very good Christian man.
He was a member of St. John A. M. E Church his whole life where he served as Trustee, Steward, and Sunday School Teacher later in his life until his death.
Donald was a butcher for 40 plus years and was owner of Duncan Slaughter house.
He served his country in the U. S. Air Force for four years. Military honors will be performed by our local DAV Chapter 105.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 4th, 2016 from 10am-3pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with funeral services being held at 3pm. Interment will follow in the Monticello Cemetery. A repast will be held following funeral ceremonies at the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Monticello.
