Donald Rankin Dick was born February 15th, 1932 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Monday, October 7th, 2002, reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of Charles and Etta Dick.

He was united in marriage to Hazel Koontz Dick and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by his wife Hazel, one son-Darrell Dick of Indianapolis, IN and one daughter-Sherry Anderson of Columbus, IN. He is survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is also survived by his mother-Etta Ferrell and one step sister-Ruby Foister, both of Monticello, KY, along with several relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his father-Charles Dick.

He served his country bravely as a SGT in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Tuesday, October 8th, 2002 in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 9th, 2002 at 10 AM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
