Donald "Odie" Bertram was born May 7, 1948 and departed this life Friday, January 28, 2022 reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of the late Marcus and Grace (Crabtree) Bertram.

He is survived by: his daughter, Melissa (Terry) Swift; grandchildren, Quinton (Cassandra) Daniels and Takoa Swift; one great grandchild on the way; and a special friend, Tracie Sexton; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Marcus and Grace Bertram, he was preceded in death by: his infant grandson, Austin Daniels; two brothers, Thomas Kay Bertram and Roger "Cotton" Bertram.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2022 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
