Obituary
DICIE ANNE CARTER was born June 6, 1916 and departed this life March 2, 2007 reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late David Lester and Viola Willis Lester.
She is survived by seven children: Kenneth (Delores) Carter of Harrison, OH, Russell (Leacher) Carter of New Castle, IN, Gerald Carter and David Carter both of Monticello, Judith Dishman of Monticello, KY, Linda (Charles) Doss of New Castle, IN, and Martha Sue (Gene) Alley of Monticello, KY; 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and 1 step great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Montie Carter; two children, Joanne and Danny; one sister, Alta Catron; four brothers, Will, Marvin, Joe and Stanley Lester; two grandchildren; and one great grandson.
She was a housewife and a member of the Old Union Separate Baptist Church of Slickford.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Sunday, March 4th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Monday, March 5th at 2 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
