Denzil Burton was born March 11, 1928 and departed this life Thursday, March 13, 2008 reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Rufus Burton and Versa Hughes Burton.

He married Nora Ann McKinney and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: his wife- Nora Ann Burton of Monticello, KY, two daughters- Sherrill (Tony) Elam of Frankfort, KY and Linda Pierce of Lexington, KY, three grandchildren- Beth Baldwin, Amy Chesney, and Clay Pierce, and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by: four brothers- Orman, Darrell and Donovan Burton all of Monticello, KY and Orlis Burton of Monroe, TN, and one sister- Kathleen Rector Bridgeman of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: one brother- Edsel Burton, one sister- Marie Marita, and one grandchild- Suzanne Elam.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
