Obituary
DENVER TOWNSEND was born August 6, 1937 and departed this life April 28, 2007 reaching the age of 69 years. He was the son of the late Alfred Townsend and Ollie "Jackie" Howard Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife, Betty Taylor Townsend of Monticello, KY; four sons, Darrell (Diane) Townsend of Monticello, KY, Daniel (Terry) Townsend of Charlotte, NC, Eric Townsend of Raleigh, NC and Mike (Penny) House of Nicholasville, KY; one daughter, Debbie Gibson of Nicholasville, KY; and two grandsons, David Gibson and Aaron Townsend. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Townsend of Tollesboro, KY; one nephew, Byron Townsend; one niece, Tammy Bass; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Jackie Townsend.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 1st after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 2nd at 11 am
Interment: Mill Springs National Cemetery
