Dennis McKinley Roysdon passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, reaching the age of 78 years.  He was born in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Daniel and Lena (Testament) Roysdon.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by 4 sisters, Clara Bridgeman, Mary Anderson, Helen Roysdon, and Martha Rigney; 2 brothers, Freeman Roysdon and Phillip Roysdon; and 1 grandson, Austin Reynolds.

In 1979 Dennis married Diana Lynn Bell and to this union, 2 daughters were born.

In addition to his wife, Diana Lynn Roysdon, he is survived by: daughters, Debra (Herald) Roysdon and Daisy (Greg) Martin; 3 granddaughters, Carrie Reynolds (Matthew) Branscum, Lita Dobbs (Jacob) Small, and Destiny West; 3 great-great-granddaughters, Addie, Kinsley, and Amara; and 3 great-grandsons, Austin, Weston, and Kieran; along with a host of family and friends who mourns his passing.

At an early age, Dennis joined the Immanuel Baptist Church and was a member up until his passing.

Dennis worked at Burnside Ashland for 30 years where he received 2 awards for outstanding work. He then worked for Wayne Dry Kiln for 20 years.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Sexton-Black Cemetery.
