Dennis "Cotton" Marcum was born February 1, 1950 and departed this life Wednesday, May 25, 2022 reaching the age of 72 years. He was the son of the late Ervin McKinley and Ather (Massengale) Marcum.

He married Linda Sue Cummings and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Linda Sue Marcum; two sons, Jason (Amy) Marcum and Michael (Ashley) Marcum; one daughter, Denise (John) Looney; one brother, Danny Marcum; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2022 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
