Delmer Kempton was born December 26, 1946 in and departed this life Saturday, November 28, 2015 reaching the age of 68 years. He was the son of the late Mannon Hewell & Eva Marie (Marcum) Kempton.


He is survived by: 6 sons, David (wife Lisa), Larry Dale, Dennis (wife Dana), Joe (wife Chandra), Billy, and Jeremy (wife Teresa) Kempton; 1 daughter, Sherry (husband Robert) Bell; 4 brothers, Donald, Harold, Mack, & Larry Kempton; 3 sisters, Doris Smith, Joyce Guffey, & JoAnne Shelton; 9 grandchildren, Robert David, Caleb Rayburn, Taylor MaeAnne Denise, Kyli Marie, Kadi, & Alexa Brooke Kempton and Austin Levi, Cody Aaron, & Tyler Reece Bell; 2 step grandchildren, Felicia Worth & Brandon Garrett; and 3 step great grandchildren, Bryce, & Bentli Worth & Shealynn Garrett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mannon Hewell & Eva Marie Kempton; and one grandchild, Gabriel Dalton Kempton.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 after 5pm EST in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11am EST at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
