Debra Gale Koontz was born October 25, 1953 in the Spann Hill Community in Wayne County, Kentucky and passed away on October 9, 2013 at the Wayne County Hospital reaching the age of 59.

Debra was preceded in death by her father Delbie Koontz, her mother Dora Lee (Barnes) Koontz, her sisters Earlene Barnett, Cleo Coffey, and a brother Jimmie W. Koontz. She is survived by her brothers; Edward (Molly), Benton (Wilma), Gary (Julie) Koontz and sisters; Lorene Barnett, Hazel Dick, Phyllis Neely and Gwendolyn (Randall) Morrow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Since the death of her parents, Debra has been in the excellent care of her brother Benton (and Wilma) for the past eighteen years. She lived a contented and happy life and was loved by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 11am - 1pm in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2pm Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
