David Wilbur Jones was born September 25, 1946, and departed this life Saturday, December 9, 2023, reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Henry and Pauline (Lawless) Jones.

He is survived by:  one brother, Gary Wayne Jones (wife, Carolyn Jones); and two sisters, Sue Slaven and Linda Marcum (husband, Johnny Marcum); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Henry and Pauline Jones, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Donna Merlane Jones; and one sister, Vonda Clark.

David had a very successful career in the woodworking industry.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife, Merlane and friends.

He was also a veteran of the United States Army who served his country proudly.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, between 10 am – 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
