Obituary
David Eugene Cox, Jr, better known as Davie, was born June 18, 1960 and departed this life Thursday, July 28, 2011 reaching the age of 51. He was the son of Joan (Easterly) and the late David Cox, Sr.
He is survived by: 2 daughters, Tansy and Elizabeth Cox; 1 son, Brandon Gene Cox; 1 step-daughter, Erika Shelton; and 1 grandson, Braylin Ray Cox. He is also survived by: his mother, Joan Cox; 2 brothers, Gary and Tony Cox; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by: his father, David Cox, Sr.
He was the manager of Long John Silver's for 21 years.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 4 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 3 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gap Creek
Cemetery.
