David Dean was born September 24, 1932 and departed this life Friday, January 06, 2012 reaching the age of 79. He was the son of the late Whitt and Neva (Perkins) Dean.

He is survived by: 3 sons, Roger Dean of Monticello, KY, Richard Dean of Cincinnati, OH, and Michael Dean of Mainville, OH; 3 sisters, Betty Jo Dean of Florence, KY, Patricia "Patsy" Dean of Monticello, KY, and Teresa Dean of Florence, KY; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Randall and Danny Dean both of Monticello, KY; and 5 sisters, Ann Fay Guffey of Lawsaintville, IN, Bonnie Riley, Barbara Ramsey, Donna Parmley, and Karen Southwood all of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Whitt and Neva Dean, he was preceded in death by: 1 child, David Lee Dean; 3 brothers, Roger, Donald Reed, and Freddie Dean; and 1 sister, Imogene Keeton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 6 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Anson Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
