David Eugene Branscum was born December 13, 1953 and departed this life Wednesday, November 29, 2017 reaching the age of 63 years. He was the son of the late Robert and Alta (Clark) Branscum.

He is survived by: one son, David Aaron (Samantha) Branscum; two daughters, Tabitha (Tracy) Hancock and Ginger Gregory; 6 grandchildren, Kesley, Jacob and Madison Hancock, Gabriel, Benjamin and Jackson Branscum; and 2 great grandchildren, Kendall Liar and Bailee Hancock. He is also survived by: 7 brothers, Alvin (Beverly), James (Lannie), Oscar (Brenda), Cecil, Jimmy (Denise), Roger, and Howard Branscum; and 4 sisters, Ruth (Estill) Jones, Lois (Kelly) Tucker, Mary (Clarence) Tucker, and Wanda Branscum; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2017 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Sammy New Cemetery in McCreary County.
