David Eugene Barnhouse was born on January 9 ^th , 1968 and passed away on November 24 ^th , 2018. He was born at Ball State Memorial in Muncie, Indiana to Anna Shockley.

On October 17 ^th , 1985 he married Debbie (Foster) Barnhouse. To this union 3 kids were born, Tabitha Phillips (Shannon), Derek Barnhouse and Amanda Portman (Shannon) and special daughter-in-law, Paige Barnhouse.

He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Draven and Brandon Barnhouse, Briar, Kesley, Bryson and Hunter Portman. One sister, Bobbi Cooper and one brother, Jerry Shields (Shanna).

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Taft and Angela (Liz) Davis (who also raised him), his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Anna Brown, a grandson, Christian Barnhouse, one brother, Terry Sheilds, and a great nephew, James Bone.

He is survived by 17 nieces and nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 4 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law, Trish Hicks (Darrell), Tina Barnes (Fugi), Ronald Brown (Trena), and Lora Brown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 28 ^th , 2018 between 5 – 8 p.m. at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 29 ^th , 2018 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Hurt Cemetery.
