Darrell Wayne Foster was born May 14, 1967, and departed this life Thursday, June 4, 2026, reaching the age of 59 years. He was the son of Lois Ann (Bishop) Foster and the late Robert Lincoln “Bob” Foster.

He married Kristina Foster and to this union one son was born.

In addition to Kristina and his mother, Lois, he is survived by: his son, Darian Wayne Foster; two brothers, Gary Foster and Donnie Foster; and one sister, Diane Parmley; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

Along with his father, Bob Foster, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Glenn Foster.

Darrell had worked as a police officer for the Monticello City Police, 911 Dispatcher and Chief Deputy Jailer for the Wayne County Detention Center for many years.

Darrell LOVED his family and his family LOVED him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
