Obituary
Darrell Edward Dishman, age 63, was born April 20, 1954 and departed this life Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Wayne County Hospital.
He is survived by: His mother, Alma (Pyles) Dishman, the mother of his children, Barbara Dishman; as well as his son, Kevin (Chastity) Dishman, daughter, Stacy (Darrell) Stephenson; Brothers, Danny and Donnie Dishman; sisters, Peggy Bertram and Pam Dishman; Grandchildren, Courtney and Molly Dishman, Breanna, Dylan, and Dawson Stephenson; 1 great grandchild on the way; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Hobert Dishman; and one brother, Dale Dishman.
He was a loving son, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 5 until 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Darrell Edward Dishman Memorial Fund.
