Bro. Darrell Bunch was born December 12, 1966, and departed this life Monday, December 18, 2023, reaching the age of 57 years. He was the son of the late Jessie Bunch and Irene (Poore) Bunch.

He married Renee Dye and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Renee Bunch; his children, Darrell James Bunch (Whitney), Brandon Bunch (Rachel), and Shelby Bunch Rector; and five grandchildren, Emma Rector, Alivia Bunch, Brantley Rector, Gibson Darrell Michael Bunch, and Jesse Bunch. He is also survived by:  one brother, Donnie Bunch (Connie); and one sister, Marsha Bunch; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Hershel Bunch and Douglas Bunch.

Bro. Darrell was a wonderful husband, proud father, and a doting grandfather, who absolutely loved and cherished his family. He loved the Lord and as pastor of Mt. Pleasant Fellowship Church served his church family and the community in many ways. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his wacky sense of humor, his peanut butter fudge, but most of all for his kindness and love to those in need.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

As Bro. Darrell always said, "Stay JESUS strong!"

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023, between 5 pm – 8 pm and Friday, December 22, 2023 between 11 am – 1 pm at the Mt. Pleasant Fellowship Church.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2023, at 2 pm at the Mt. Pleasant Fellowship Church. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
