Darrell Atkinson was born March 30, 1964 and departed this life June 2, 2016 reaching the age of 52 years. He was the son of Lyle and the late Elizabeth (Smith) Atkinson.

He is survived by: one daughter, Katarra Dobbs; and one step granddaughter, Andreona Dobbs. He is also survived by his father, Lyle Atkinson; and four sisters, Deborah (Shawn) Abbott, Brenda (Bo) Carroll, Connie (Dallas) Piercy, and Cathey Atkinson; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Atkinson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2016 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Buncum Cemetery.
