Danny K. Coffey was born April 20, 1955, and departed this life Monday, February 5, 2024, reaching the age of 68 years. He was the son of the late Robert and Hazel Vivian (Pitman) Coffey.

On October 26, 1972, he was united in marriage to Faye Ann Jones and to this marriage 4 children were born:  Jimmy (Kathleen) Coffey, Jody (Lois) Coffey, Jeff Coffey, and Jennifer Coffey.

He is survived by all his children, grand kids, and great grand kids, that were his world; 6 grand kids, Katelyn Neal, Trenton (Sadie) Coffey, Madison Coffey, Matthew Coffey, Jasmin Coffey, and Emily Taylor; 4 great grand kids, Koleson Power, Keeland Neal, Coalter Taylor, and Cambrie Coffey.

He is also survived by his brother and sisters, Shirley Alley of Monticello, KY, Caroline (Steve) Childs of Houston, TX, Robbie Coffey of Monticello, KY and Pattie (Chris) Mann of Columbia, KY.

Danny loved to hunt, fish, and work on his taxidermy in his workshop. He served in the Army National Guard from 1973 until 1979.

He was a very godly man and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024, between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or the Nazarene Building Fund
