Daniel Leady was born December 23 ^rd 1952 in Springfield, Illinois to William and Carolyn Leady.  He married Loretta (Vaughn) on July 23 ^rd 1984 and to this union two children were born.

Daniel departed this life Thursday, October 1, 2020 reaching the age of 67 years. He leaves, his wife, Loretta Leady; son, Andrew Leady of Georgetown, KY; daughter, Shawna Leady of Springfield, Ill.; and grandchildren, Barrik Thomas and Payton Reese Leady.

He is also survived by: brothers, Bill and Larry Leady; and sisters, Sharon Taapken, Pat Josephson, and Jackie Leady; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Thomas Leady.

Dan loved to fish, hunt and gardening.  He loved to paint, which he self-taught himself to do.

He was surrounded by family whom loved him dearly and he loved them.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2020 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, October 5, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Bud Gregory Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
