Damon R. Smith was born October 31, 1942 and departed this life Sunday, March 31, 2019 reaching the age of 76 years. He was the son of the late Hubert and Emma Jean (Coffey) Smith.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary (Lair) Smith; sons, Rodney (Vicki) Butcher, Tim (Beth) Smith and Mark (Karla) Smith; sister, Hilda (Joe) Morrow; grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Jordan, Brayleigh, Seth, Jessica, and Amber; great grandchildren, Knoa, Finley, Ava Rae, Rowan, and Audrey on the way; along with many special friends.

Damon accepted Christ as a teenager; he was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 between 11 am – 3 m in the chapel of the funeral home.  Masonic services will be held at 3 pm with funeral services immediately after on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
