Dallas Ray Hicks, age 71, of the Powersburg community of Wayne County, husband of Dorothy Hicks, passed away on Friday, July 26th at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was a retired school bus mechanic.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived by 3 sons- Derek Hicks of Charleston SC, Keith and David Bertram; 2 daughters- Shannon Flagler and Karen Richardson; 1 brother- Jerry Hicks; 4 sisters- Ann Denney of Spencer, Indiana, Ramona Sexton of Albany KY, Catha Sexton, and Becky York of Louisville KY; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren plus 2 on the way.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 29th from 5-9 PM EDT in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 30th at 2 PM in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Taylor's Grove Church Cemetery.
