Daisy Belle McGinnis was born May 31, 1943 and departed this life Friday, July 6, 2018 reaching the age of 75 years. She was the daughter of the late James Gunter and Bertha Moles.

She is survived by: her son, James "Pete" Gunter; four daughters, Diana Corder, Lessia Zimmerman, Sylvia McGinnis, and Judy Haney; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: special sons, Hunter and James Woodruff; one brother, Paul Webster Gunter; and four sisters, Jimmie Christine Connor, Liza Cordelia Woodrum, Inisa Maye Rigney, and Wilma Jean Adams; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James "Jim" McGinnis; one daughter, Tressia Lynn McGinnis; four brothers, Grover William "Bill" Gunter, Jr. Lee Gunter, Freeman Gunter and Thomas Gunter.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11 am at the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
