Cullem L. Coffey was born February 14, 1925 and departed this life Thursday, December 2, 2010 reaching the age of 85. He was the son of the late Edward Cullem and Gertie Evana (Taylor) Coffey.

He was united in marriage to Lula Tuggle and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: 1 daughter, Judy (Pid) Jones of Clinton, TN; his daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Coffey of Monticello, KY; 6 grandchildren, G.W. (Tonya) Coffey of Monticello, KY, Danny (Stacy) Coffey of Lancaster, KY, Danica (Tony) Kidd of Waco, Myles Coffey of Monticello, KY, Melissa (Jerry) Moses of Oak Ridge, TN, and Olivia Jones of Clinton, TN; 6 great grandchildren, Ashley, Kenzie, Mason, Elijah, Aiden, and Davonte`; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Edward and Gertie Coffey, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Lula Coffey; 1 son, Danny Coffey; 4 brothers, Bennie, Finis, Rufus, and Ray Coffey; and 3 sisters, Mazzie Denney, Bonnie Martin, and Ona Coffey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 4 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
