Coy R. Floyd was born March 14, 1940 and departed this life Friday, August 9, 2019 reaching the age of 79 years. He was the son of the late Eldon and Stella May (Gossett) Floyd.

He married Trecia (Davis) Floyd and to this union 3 children were born.

He is survived by:one son, Tom Floyd; one daughter, Charlotte Floyd; Companion of 20 years, JoAnna Swails; two sisters, Murlie Wesley of Indiana and Violet Labine of Somerset, KY; 5 grandchildren, Kristy, Thomas & Casey Jo Floyd and Lianna and Anthony Pabon; 5 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Trecia (Davis) Floyd; daughter, Rita Pabon; brothers, Johnny and Kenny Floyd & infant brother Denzil; and sister, Juanita (Donnie) Cox.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
