Obituary
Corda Atkinson Hurt, 91, widow of the late Hubert Hurt passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Hartwell Healthcare in Hartwell, Georgia.
She was born December 26, 1921 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Henry Atkinson and Liela (Harmon) Atkinson.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Judie Landrum of Elberton, Georgia and Jean Moulder of Calhoun, Georgia; sister, Ladona Turner of Kentucky; brother, Jessie Atkinson of Lindon, Alabama; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Atkinson.
The family will receive friend from 9am-10am on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10 am with Bro. Ernest Mann officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Keen's Chapel United Methodist Church.
The Hicks-Vaughn Funeral home is entrusted with the local arrangements.
