Cora Anna "Annie" Alley was born May 15, 1918 and departed this life Friday, March 21, 2008 reaching the age of 89 years. She was the daughter of the late Jeff Parmley and Emma Jones Parmley.

She married Thomas "Tom" Alley and to this union eight children were born.

She is survived by 5 sons- Huey, Gene, Kay, Ray, and Clay Alley and 2 daughters- Lois Troxell and Juanita Troxell, all of Monticell, KY. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild and 3 great great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Alley, 1 son- Prentis Alley, 3 great grandchildren, four brothers-Roscoe, Harry, Oliver and Ode Parmley and four sisters-Maude Smith, Maggie Gregory, Addie Bell and Wilma Phipps.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Monday, March 24th, 2008 in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
