Collins Threet was born July 25, 1947 and departed this life Friday, May 20, 2011 reaching the age of 63. He was the son of the late Otto and Audie (Walker) Threet.

He was united in marriage to Sherry Gehring and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Sherry Threet; 1 son, Douglas Brian Threet; daughter-in-law, Anita Threet; and 6 grandchildren, Collin, Brenna, Sheridan, Kayla, Jerrad, and Melinda Threet. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Robert Threet; and 1 sister, Audrey Cravens; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Otto and Audie Threet, he was preceded in death by: 1 son, Gregory Alan Threet; and 1 brother, Gilford O. Threet, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
