Clay Hicks was born April 3, 1947 and departed this life Tuesday, August 4, 2015 reaching the age of 68 years. He was the son of the late Charlie "Billy" Hicks and Lillie McGinnis.

He is survived by: his wife, Helen Faye (Piercy) Hicks; children, Jimmy Clay Hicks, Shannon Sue Kennedy, Donnie Kaye Hicks, Rachel Mae Ragan-Wiles (Joseph), Sharon Rose Lowe (Elmer), Hollie Faye Dishman (Amos) and Josh Hicks; grandchildren, Adam Dishman, Anthony Kennedy, Andrew Kennedy, Chelsea Chriselle Ragan, Austin Kennedy, Bethany Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Brett Lowe, Adrianna Ragan, Seth Ragan, John Hicks, Elijah Dishman, and Hannah Dishman; great grandchildren, Kensey Dishman, Gracie Dishman, Lilly Dishman, and Sadie Dishman. He is also survived by: his father, Billy Hicks; brothers, Russell Hicks, Jason Hicks, and Oren Hicks; and sister, Olene Coffey; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Lilly McGinnis Hicks; daughter, Charlotte Rose Dishman; and brothers, Ray Hicks and Bradley Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2015 after 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hicks Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers take the form of donations to: Clay Hicks Memorial Fund.
