Claude Rankin Crabtree was born February 10, 1921 and departed this life January 14, 2004 reaching the age of 82. He was the son of Tom Crabtree and Gertie Hucaby Crabtree.

He was united in marriage to Essie Gregory and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by two sons, David and Jimmy Crabtree; two daughters, Anna Mae Roysden and Sue Gregory; one sister, Grace Bertram; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Crabtree; his parents, Tom and Gertie Crabtree; one brother, Frank Crabtree; one sister, Hilda Phelps; and 2 grandchildren.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
