CLARENCE GUFFEY was born May 11, 1920 and departed this life May 22, 2007 reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late Thomas Riley Guffey and Ida Belle Shearer Guffey.

He is survived by: three step children, Eulunda Matheny of Rockford, IL, Patricia Challman of FL, and Theodore Clark of Monticello, KY; four sisters, Vera Garner, Agnes Correll, Alice Crabtree, and Mildred Phipps all of Monticello, KY; several step grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas and Ida Guffey; his wife, Betty Russell Clark Guffey; one son, Anthony Guffey; two brothers, Charles and Thomas Guffey; and two sisters, Henrietta and Benetta Guffey.

He was a loving brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: Thursday, May 24th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Friday, May 25th at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
