Clara Rigney was born February 6, 1920 and departed this life Saturday, April 3, 2010 reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late Milford and Betty (Rogers) Smith.

She was united in marriage to Bill Rigney on July 8, 1938 and to this union 5 children were born.

She is survived by: 5 children, James F. (Brenda) Rigney of Russellville, KY, Jewell R. (Rondon) Hutson of Helenwood, TN, Carolyn S. (Jack) Higginbotham of Fairland, IN, Willie Jr. (Betty) Rigney and Sylvia J. (James) Luttrell all of Bronston, KY; 9 grandchildren, Tony (Karen) Higginbotham, Barton Hutson, Todd Laughery, Jackie M. Higginbotham, Kecia (Greg) Strunk, Stacy F. Rigney, James F. Rigney, II, Barry W. Troxtell, and Brad D. Rigney; and 7 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Willie in December 2002; 3 brothers, George, Sebastian "Bass", and Johnny Smith; 1 sister, Emma Smith Harness; 3 siblings who died in infancy; 2 grandchildren, Gayla D. Troxtell and Kevin G. Luttrell.

She was a member of Tuttle's Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
