Chester Stinson was born July 13, 1920 and departed this life Tuesday, January 25, 2011 reaching the age of 90. He was the son of the late John and Mary (Crabtree) Stinson.

He was united in marriage to Luella Hancock and to this union 18 children were born.

He is survived by: 7 sons, Eddie, Junior, James, Roy, Ray, Phillip, and Larry Stinson; 4 daughters, Evelyn Ferrell, Virgie Buck, Betty Phillips, and Virginia Stinson; 39 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, John and Mary Stinson; he was preceded in death by: his wife, Luella Stinson; his son, Everett Stinson; six infants, Bobby, Travis, William, Daniel, Ruby and Sara Stinson; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
