Charlie "Bill" Franklin Hicks was born August 8, 1924 and departed this life Sunday, July 12, 2020 reaching the age of 95 years. He was the son of the late James Richard "Richie" and Daisy (Stinson) Hicks.

He is survived by: his sons, Russell Hicks, Jason Hicks and Oren Hicks; one daughter, Olene Coffey; one sister, Neecy Dishman; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Richie and Daisy Hicks, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Lillie McGinnis Hicks; three sons, Ray Hicks, Clay Hicks, and Bradley Hicks; four brothers, Newell, Minford "Beardy" Hicks, Sherman Hicks and Ramie Hicks; and five sisters,  Nannie Bell Pyles, Grace Brown, Bertha Hancock, Sina Hicks and Charlotte Dishman.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hicks Cemetery.
