Charles Thompson was born August 12, 1944 and departed this life Tuesday, September 5, 2023, reaching the age of 79 years. He was the son of the late Charlie and Rhoda (Taylor) Thompson.

He is survived by: one son, Jason Thompson (Amy); one daughter, Deanna Thompson; one brother, Kenneth Thompson; and five grandchildren, Brian, Kayla, Alexis, Shelby and Miranda; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Rex and Alfred Thompson; and one sister, Rachel Sue Montgomery.

Charles served his country and community; he was a proud Army Veteran, a member of VFW, an Addyston Firefighter and EMT,  and a city councilman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
