Charles Simpson was born March 20, 1970, and departed this life Tuesday, April 18, 2023, reaching the age of 53 years. He was the son of Shirley (Woody) Simpson and the late David Simpson.

In addition to his mother, Shirley Simpson, he is survived by: his wife, Patricia (Brumley) Simpson; two brothers, Wallace Simpson (Sylvia) and Wayne Simpson (Ellen ); two sisters, Judy Thompson and Nancy Troxell (Dave); his nieces and nephews, Priscilla Corder, Bradley Phelps, Carla Upchurch, Keith Simpson, Derick Simpson, Brian Simpson, and Jaxon Tate Brumley; mother-in-law, Freida Brumley; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Christie) Brumley; sister-in-law, Bonnie Guffey; along with a host of family and friends who mourns his passing.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Simpson, and one sister, Lela Darlene Phelps.

Charles was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 23, 2023, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24, 2023, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
