Charles Cowan was born August 19, 1938 and departed this life April 13, 2004 reaching the age of 65 years. He was the son of Charles Edgar Cowan, Sr. and Alma Wilson Cowan.
He was united in marriage to Judith Storey and to this union three children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; two daughters, Lori and Jennifer Cowan, both of Monticello; one brother, Kenneth (Jane) Cowan of Eubank, KY; one sister, Ruth Ann (Cresse) Thompson of Burnside, KY; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Alma Cowan; one son, Charles Cowan, III; and one brother, James Cowan.
He graduated from Somerset High School; he served in the U. S. Army, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative, friend, and valued member of the community who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
