Cecil Ray "Rod" Winfrey was born February 4, 1944 and departed this life Sunday, December 13, 2015 reaching the age of 71 years. He was the son of the late Charlie and Flora (Turner) Winfrey.

He is survived by: his wife, Barbara Winfrey; stepchildren, John and Windy Young; step grandchildren, Whitney, Johnny, Emily, Casey and Devaniel; and one step great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by one brother, Junior (Phyllis) Winfrey; his niece, Pam (Sam) Coffey; great niece, Jessica (Frank) Mason; great nephew, Jacob Coffey; and great-great nephew and niece, Levi and Emma Mason; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Flora Winfrey; and one brother, Bill Winfrey.

Cecil Ray or Rod as most called him, was a County employee working on the road crew for over 20 years. His fellow crew members will serve as his pall bearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 after 10am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
