Bro. Cecil Stephenson was born April 29, 1931 and departed this life Monday, August 31, 2020 reaching the age of 89 years. He was the son of the late Bal and Mamie (Parmley) Stephenson.   Bro. Cecil was the longtime pastor of Parnell Church of God.

He married Lucy Marie Parmley and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Marie Stephenson; two sons, Jason (Betsey) Stephenson and Austin (Loretta) Stephenson; 5 grandchildren,Nathan, Johnny, Zack, Lydia and Josh; 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: one brother, Vancil (Juanita) Stephenson; and two sisters, Gearlene Parmley and Vela Stephenson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Bal and Mamie Stephenson, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, George Vester Stephenson, Ralph Dexter Stephenson, and Bruce Stephenson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 between 5:30 pm – 8 pm and Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 8 am – 1 pm at Parnell Church of God.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 1 pm at the Parnell Church of God. Burial will be in the Parnell Church of God Cemetery.
