Cecil Roby Dobbs was born November 14, 1943, and departed this life Saturday, May 31, 2025, reaching the age of 81 years. He was the son of the late Willie and Fronia (Kidd) Dobbs.

He is survived by: his wife, Katherine Faye (Matthews) Dobbs; two sons, Harold Gene Dobbs and Cecil Robie Dobbs, Jr.; one sister, Jewell Bell; five grandkids, Jessica Keith (Josh), Cody (Natalie) Dewayne Dobbs, Jordan (Chelsie) Lucas Dobbs, Madison Brooke Padget (Jarrod) and Megan Dawn Dobbs; six great grandkids, Taylor Reshea Keith, Payton Elizabeth Keith, Bryler Cole Keith, Owen Wayne Padget, Logan Dobbs, and Caleb Dobbs; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Willie and Fronia Dobbs, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Clyde, Wilburn, Joe, Grady, Hershel, and Bennie Dobbs; and three sisters, Anna Lee Rigney, Lula Mae Jones, and Edna Dobbs Sexton.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elk Spring Cemetery.
