Cecil Dishman was born November 1, 1945 and departed this life Saturday, October 7, 2017 reaching the age of 71 years. He was the son of the late Thomas and Delphia Dishman.

He married Norma Jean Evans and to this union five children were born.

He is survived by: two sons, Cecil Dishman Jr. and Rodney Dishman; three daughters, Becky Fulton, Tammy Catron, and Sarah Dishman; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by: two brothers, Othie and Kay Dishman; and two sisters, Ora Sue Shelton and Helen Catron; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Thomas and Delphia Dishman, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Norma Jean Dishman; two brothers, Odell and Odie Dishman; and three sisters, Lee McGinnis, Viola Martin, and Vena Stinson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 1 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral home. Burial will follow on the family property in the Gap Creek community.
