Cecil Burnette was born August 9, 1938 and departed this life Saturday, October 17, 2015 reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Loftus and Opal Lee (Taylor) Burnette.

He is survived by: his wife, Betty Burnette of Russell Springs, KY; two daughters, Donna (Kenny) Bottom of Danville, KY and Wilma (Jeff) Masoner of Somerset, KY; one son, Stanley (Joetta) Burnette of Burnside, KY one step daughter, Sandra (Lindsey) Lowe of Monticello, KY; one step daughter-in-law, Debbie Gerald of Monticello, KY; five grandchildren, Josh, Stephanie, Sarah, Terra, and Hannah; two step grandchildren, Billy and Phillip; and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Carl (Nellie) Burnette; one brother-in-law, Roger Kidd; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Loftus and Opal Lee Burnette, he was preceded in death by: one daughter, Loretta Burnette; one step son, Michael "Beaver" Geralds; one sister, Clara Kidd; and two brothers, Cleo and Conley Burnette.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Springs Cemetery.
