Cayleb Preston Rice was born on August 18, 2008 to Allison Dishman and Matt Rice. He departed his earthly life on July 25, 2025 just 3 weeks shy of turning 17.

He is survived by his parents Allison ( Brian) Dishman, Matt ( Presley) Rice; two brothers that looked up to him, Aidan and Christian Rice; maternal grandparents Danny and Mary Guffey and paternal grandparents Myson and Donna Rice; along with a host of additional family and friends that loved him.

Cayleb was to be a sophomore at Wayne County High School in the upcoming school year. He enjoyed playing basketball and football and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved working on the farm with his uncles, his Pop, and his cousins. His favorite people to be with were his brothers. Cayleb loved his family and friends but he was happiest on the court or field.

To know Cayleb was to love Cayleb. He was a Christian that showed God's love everywhere he went! Cayleb gave his life to Christ on August 20, 2017 and then rededicated his life on September 15, 2024, along with his brother Aidan. He was also instrumental in leading his brother, Christian, to Christ.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Cayleb Rice Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Wayne County High School, 2 Kenny Davis Blvd., Monticello, KY 42633.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, from 3-8pm and again Wednesday, July 30th, from 7am-1pm at Monticello First Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, at 1pm at Monticello First Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
