Carson Asberry was born December 10, 1925 and departed this life May 25, 2017 reaching the age of 91 years. He was the son of the late Louis and Dora (Bridgeman) Asberry.

He married Grace Criswell and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: one son, Glen Asberry (Cathy Moses); one daughter, Carolyn Asberry; two sisters, Neva Vangorp and Eva Fortner; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Angela Asberry; one great grandchild, Harmony Asberry; like a son and daughter, Oliver and Marge Asberry and their children Kara and Matt Case, Blaine and Stacy Asberry; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Louis and Dora Asberry, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Grace Asberry; one brother, William "Bill" Asberry; and two sisters Lucille Hiner and Lillian Criswell.


The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 between 6 - 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 7 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Military honors will be performed by our local DAV Chapter 105.
