Obituary
Carrie Thompson was born October 6, 1918 and departed this life Saturday, March 6, 2010 reaching the age of 91 years. She was the daughter of the late Joshua and Cansada (Sexton) Alexander.
She married Joe Thompson who preceded her in death.
She is survived by: 4 daughters, Nancy Eller of Monticello, KY, Joyce Begen of Aiken, SC, Janet Reagan of Los Angeles, CA, and Sherry Hall of Lakeland, FL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by: 2 sons, Billy and Bruce Thompson; 5 brothers, Everett, Robert, Kenneth, Jack, and Lee Alexander; and 2 sisters, Lena Gregory and Lytha.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Donations to: Wayne County Public Library
Visitation: Thursday, March 11th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Friday, March 12th at 1 pm
Interment: Alexander Cemetery
