Carolyn "Mammy" Prince was born June 9, 1953, and departed this life Thursday, November 17, 2022, reaching the age of 69 years. She was the daughter of the late Spencer and Sara (Gregory) Baker.

She married Lanny Prince and to this union one child was born.

She is survived by: one daughter, Stacy Barnett; four grandchildren, Leanna Decker (Landon), Kristin Burkhead, Chey Burkead, and Cody Barnett (Taniah); and eight great grandchildren, Dylan, Brennan, Weston Loghan, Makenzie, Talon, Xavier, and Kennedy. She is also survived by: four brothers, Lee, Kay, Danny, and Cecil Baker; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Spencer and Sara Baker, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Lanny Prince; two brothers, Arnold Frank Baker and Mack Baker; and three sisters, Barbara Faye, Gladys Marie, and Emma Jean Baker.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2022, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
